JoventutdeBadalonaApp

As a season-ticket holder, I couldn’t easily tell when each of the club’s teams played. So I designed the app I wanted: every team’s fixtures in one calendar, one tap from a ticket.

Four screens of the concept: the men’s team calendar for October with rival crests on match days, a match page with time, venue and a button to buy tickets, the home with each team’s next game, and the men’s squad.

A personal fan project. It isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by or made for Club Joventut Badalona, and nothing was done with it beyond the design. Club crests, rival crests and player photos belong to their owners and are only here to make the concept feel real.

The club has three senior teams — men’s, women’s and wheelchair basketball — and no app. Its upcoming-matches page lists every home game of every competition in one long column, so finding out when your team plays next means scrolling past everyone else’s.

I wanted one place to see every team’s calendar, check a match and buy a ticket. I started with the calendar, then closed the loop with the screens around it: a home with each team’s next game, a match page and a way to add the fixtures to your own calendar.

One long list

The page that exists today does its job for one match at a time. For a fan following more than one team, it’s a scroll.

The club’s upcoming-matches page on a phone: a Liga Endesa match card followed by notices in capitals in Catalan and Spanish, then the next competition; next to it, the whole page as one long strip.
  • Today · the club’s upcoming matches
  • The same page, top to bottom

What I designed

A small app around one question — when do we play? — and the moments around it.

Three screens: the men’s team calendar for October with crests on match days and a match card below; the women’s team calendar with its next match against Spar Girona; and the women’s squad by position.
  • Men’s team · October
  • Women’s team · October
  • Squads · three teams
Calendar for the men’s and women’s teams, and the squads.
  • A calendar per montheach match day marked with the rival’s crest, so the month reads at a glance.
  • Every team in one placemen’s, women’s and wheelchair basketball, with the same calendar and the same card.
  • The match carddate, rival and competition, add it to your calendar, and buy tickets from the same card.
  • Squadsthe three teams’ players by position, with their numbers.
  • Penya al diaa home with the next game of each team and the club’s news.
  • Shopthe next match up front, before the merchandise.

Closing the flow

A calendar on its own answers half the question. Three more screens complete it, so the idea goes from “when do we play?” to a ticket and a reminder.

Three screens: the home with the next game of the men’s, women’s and wheelchair teams and a news item; the match page with venue, a note for season-ticket holders and buttons to buy tickets or add it to the calendar; and a sheet to subscribe to each team’s fixtures in Apple or Google Calendar.
  • Home · every team’s next game
  • Match · one tap to buy
  • Calendar · subscribe by team
Home, match page and calendar subscription — the screens that complete the calendar.
  • Every team’s next gameon the home, each with its own button to buy.
  • A match pagevenue and how to get there, a note for season-ticket holders, and buy or save.
  • Subscribe oncepick your teams and your calendar app; if a time changes, your calendar does too.
